DOVVSU at Tesano arrested this 30 year old trader for luring 6 teenage children from a place called Abuja, behind CMB Accra to his Taifa residence with an amount of ¢10 cedis, where he managed to defile two of them.
Four of the 6 claimed they declined to have sex with him upon arrival but the man sacked them out of his room arround 2am on 3rd June, 2013.
ASP Experanza Ayensu-Danso, the Tesano Divisional DOVVSU officer told Daily Guide that the kids were brought to the police station by a police team who spotted them walking briskly towards Accra.
Upon interrogating them, the victims confessed that, the suspect, Kweku Ansong, had lured them to his residence to have sex with them. The victims were, Bertha Kumadzi - 14yrs, Sarah Ofosua - 15yrs, Rebecca Bruce- 13yrs, Ruth Amponsah - 14yrs, Margaret Akosua Otiwaa - 14yrs and Grace Mensah - 14yrs.
Two of the victims, Grace Mensah and Ruth Amponsah confirmed that Kweku succeeded in having sex with them.
According to Grace, Kweku often came to pick them from their Abuja residence to his at Taifa to have sex with them after which he gave them 10 and 13 cedis each. ASP said they will be taken to the hospital for a medical checkup for confirmation.
However, the victims said they are school dropouts who normally escort the visually impaired to beg for arms after which they are paid.
Sarah Ofosua told Daily Guide that her father is a head teacher of Suhum Karuaba Coalter District Assembly School while her mother, Gladys Kudjo is a teacher in the Brong Ahafo Region.
She followed her her brother, a trader to Accra a year ago.
Ruth Ampondah is from Cape Coast in the Central Region. Her father Emmanuel Amponsah and mother, Agnes Awurama are traders based at Amasaman. She also joined the friends at Abuja a year ago without the knowledge of her parents.
The third Victim Rebecca Bruce is the daughter of Robert Bruce of Mankesssim. She came to Accra with the uncle who is visually impaired to beg for arms.
The fourth Victim, Bertha Kumadzi is the daughter of Florence Kumadzi of Kaneshie market.
Grace Mensah the fifth victim, is the daughter of Kweku Mensah aka Abacha of Abossey Okai while her mother, Abigail Adofu is a trader at Tabora Alhaji in Accra.
The last victim, Margaret Otiwaa is the daughter of Kwabena Sarpong of Tarkwah, a vulcanizer while the mother, Abena Kunadu is a trader at Ablekuma.
